"I am blessed as a Son of God. Herein lies my claim to all good and only good. All good things are mine, because God intended them for me. I cannot suffer any loss or deprivation or pain because of Who I Am. My Father supports me, protects me, and directs me in all things. His care for me is infinite, and is with me forever." -- A Course in Miracles
"Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." -- Mary Baker Eddy
Sometimes when we read these beautiful quotes from ACIM and Mary Baker Eddy, it is as if they were living in a different world than we live in every day. The world we see and hear and experience around us doesn't seem to reflect this infinity of care that we are assured is ours.
I cannot be reminded often enough that the belief in separation is the source of all that I think I see. As ACIM says, "The separation is a system of thought real enough in time, though not in eternity. All beliefs are 'real' to the believer." We experience our good only to have it lost again in the next moment. Or good things happen, followed by things that aren't so good. And on and on and on. In other words, we suffer and live in an insane world over and over and over again because we have to be right. We believe we are separate, and so we experience this virtual reality, like children completely lost in a self-destructive fantasy. I don't know about you, but I am very grateful to be wrong.
A friend just sent me the link to the online movie Zeitgeist. I viewed it for the first time last fall, but it was worth watching again. It is not for the faint of heart, since it goes to great lengths to show us the insanity of the world we live in, and though it is not fun to watch it reminds us eloquently that we have a part in projecting this, and that this or something else will always be the projection of a separated mind. Our beliefs based on separation are ike fragments of glass refracting the light in unpredictable ways. And the movie points out that in the end only a return to an awareness of Oneness can show us the utter unreality of the world we think we see.
From an awareness of Oneness, what needs could you possibly have that are not already Who You Are? From an awareness of Oneness, what could you possibly have to fear... there is no 'other'. From an awareness of Oneness, can there be any part of Self that is not completely accepted and loved and necessary? Again, from an Awareness of Oneness there are no separate agendas and special relationships. There is only Self.
So are we really blessed? Oh my, yes. Are all our problems and needs imagined, while fulfillment is the way of it? Absolutely. How do I know this? Because when I remember Who I Am, the blessing of it overflows my heart and mind and spills over into my perceptions and experience of the world... and it is All Good and Only Good. Not as the separated self imagines good that brings temporary satisfaction. Not good that comes and goes. All Good and Only Good... forever.

We live in a consciousness of perspectives. Mary Baker Eddy had a high, spiritual perspective where all is good, God. However, most of us have a material, earthly, limited based perspective. Sure, to the material though, there is sin, sickness, evil and death. However, if your perspective is spiritual, you can see only Spirit, and Spirit good, not evil.
